We had a great board meeting tonight. Gearing for pending EIS regarding AF attempts to bring F35 (108db) to Tucson's DMAFB, which is smack dab in the middle of the city. Lots of positive ideas and energy. We'll be starting a regular meeting to update info for the public and to provide a space for their complaints and suggestions for community action every other month. Looking for a host, such as one of the Ward's conference rooms or public library. Will keep you posted. One urgent action for community to take is to start attending the MCRC meetings at Ward VI and let the Air Force know that the replacement of email/phone noise complaints with a byzantine impossible website form is a suppression of our voices and, in order for the DMAFB to be a better neighbor, they need to bring back the phone/email complaint process.
