Consider pilots, not profits
In the discussion about basing the F-35s in Tucson, we hear a lot about “the sound of freedom.” Instead of discussing real problems with sound levels generated by the F-35 engines, we are lectured about economic benefits or our patriotism is questioned.
The group that strongly supports the bed down of F-35s in Tucson is seduced by profit margins and personal monetary gain. They have very little understanding of the limitations pilots will encounter in training due to noise constraints.
Wouldn’t a real patriot want the best environment for training with few to no restrictions? There are better training locations in this country that would support the operation of the F-35 and that would not be a nuisance to the public.
The citizens have seen enough greed of the influential few at public expense; maybe those who stand the greatest economic benefit should have their patriotism examined instead of mine.
