Air Force must provide an F-35 flyover
Re: the March 2 article “Many at F-35 forum ask to judge noise with flyby.”
What are the decibel readings of the new F-35s, and why won’t the Air Force do a flyover, or at least get us “noise data” on them? I have a very strong feeling the decibels will be way above the range where hearing will be damaged for those of us on the ground.
The F-35s are now flying out of Eglin Air Force base in Florida. What a great place to have them. They can easily fly over the ocean and no one will be under them to complain. Except of course the poor souls on land near the runways.
If we get the F-35s, we’re stuck with them. Every day and even nights for years. You wouldn’t buy a large, noisy pickup truck without testing it and you wouldn’t want one jammed down your throat either.
So Air Force, either fly over or fly away!
