Tucson ranked 19th on Forbes’ recent list of 20 “America’s Most Innovative Cities.”
The Old Pueblo ranked 31st for technology and science jobs, 27th for creative jobs, 16th in patents per capita and 45th in venture investments per capita.
Phoenix did not make the top-20 list, which was drawn from the nation’s 100 largest cities. San Jose, Calif., topped the rankings, followed in order by Austin, Texas; Raleigh, N.C.; San Francisco; and Seattle.
